Anne Marie Tiernon began her career in 1989 at WMBD 31, a station in Peoria the state of Illinois. Then, in 1991, she moved to Indianapolis and was able to anchor her own CBS affiliate WISH-TV 5 pm newscast with Scott Swan. She also was a reporter for the WISH-TV the 11PM newscast. Tiernon was WLWT-TV anchor for news from Cincinnati Ohio for the five, six and eleven o'clock newscasts in 2000 through 2004. An Emmy award-winning journalist, Tiernon has reported on both minor and major reports throughout her career. To honor her remarkable medical reporting skills, she was awarded the top spot in the National Headliner Award.
