Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, TV host and actor best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and was raised In Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl is from a family that has had a lot of difficulties. She spent the majority of her young life caring for her older sister Frankie suffering from an illness called polio. While growing up, she suffered a difficult relationship with her mother. Sheryl asserts that in the past, her mother would stab her father for being too close with her. Sheryl entered the military following her college graduation. But her passion was comedy. She was the only female that made it to the 1989 competition Miller Lite Comedy Search. The year 1992 saw her make her TV debut as a regular participant on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She also hosted the show Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011, she has been appearing as a co-host on the talk show The Talk. She has played in fictional shows such as Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
