Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born on 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Reared in the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay was able to direct her innovative literary talents and remarkable research skills to creating the amazing psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title The Only Man has My History. The title came from a funeral speech delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844, when he shocked those he addressed with the words"You don't even know me." you never knew my heart. Nobody knows my past. No one knows my history. Fawn wrote the 29-year-old Fawn. From that point more than three writers took on the task. A few have denigrated and used him, while others have attempted to diagnose the problem. It isn't the case that there's not enough documentation but rather they are wildly divergent. It is a daunting task to put together these documents--of sifting first-hand account from third-hand plagiarism of fitting Mormon and non-Mormon stories to create a mosaic that makes credible historical claims. This is a fascinating as well as educational journey. Fawn brodie devoted herself professionally to the task. Her writing and research brought fame throughout the world: Thaddeus Stephens. Scourge Of The South (1959) The Devil Drives. The Story of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974), and Richard Nixon.
